Libra ⚖️ Full Moon of April 2026

Balancing the Masculine and Feminine for Aligned Action

Full Moon in Libra — April 1/2, 2026
The Rebalancing Pink Moon

The April Full Moon rises in Libra, illuminating the delicate dance of relationship — not only with others, but also with ourselves. This means finding an inner balance of the healthy feminine (according to Jung, this would be the creative, intuitive, compassionate and securely receptive side of us) with a healthy masculine side (which Jung described as a steady and firm, yet gentle, strength imbued with dedication and courage).

Libra is the archetype of this sacred inner balance, which creates diplomacy and harmony within. This month’s deeply feminine Full Moon gently asks us to look beneath the surface of that harmony before taking diplomatic action. Where have we been over-giving to keep the peace? Where have we applied force when compassion would have sufficed? Where have we withheld our truth to avoid discomfort?

Known traditionally in the Northern Hemisphere as the Pink Moon — a symbol of early spring blossoms — and Harvest Moon or Hunter's Moon in the Southern Hemisphere, this lunation carries the energy of soft, gradual change. Globally, it also holds significance as the Paschal Full Moon, the lunar marker that sets the timing of Easter, thus weaving themes of energetic rebirth and renewal into its essence. Indeed, what began quietly within us in recent weeks may now begin to reveal its shape. Ideas, intentions, and connections that were planted earlier in this cycle are asking to be acknowledged: which ones are truly nourishing your life, and which ones have run their course?

Libra teaches us that true balance is neither passive harmony nor aggressive boundaries — it is conscious, loving alignment to your values. The true power of this Full Moon is that it invites a gentle rebalancing of the inner scales; asking us to ensure the compassionate feminine is included in our masculine movements. That may look like releasing an old resentment through a self-loving action, setting a long-needed boundary with compassion, or simply recognizing where your heart is asking for greater reciprocity.

A Full Moon Ritual for Relational Balance

Full Moons are moments of illumination, and under Libra’s influence we are invited to see our relational patterns with greater honesty and compassion. In the light of this moon, clarity is able to arrive without force, through the quiet recognition of what is right for us while releasing what no longer fits with love and gratitude.

The Space

A quiet space

A candle

Pen and paper (including one piece that can be destroyed)

The Ritual

– On the evening of the Full Moon, or when the time feels right to you, create a small moment to pause. Light a candle and take several slow, deep breaths while allowing the mind to settle and the body to soften. Pause and return to your breath at any time.

– Reflect on the relationships and situations currently present in your life. Ask yourself: Where do I feel harmony?
Where do I feel imbalance?
Where am I giving from fullness — and where am I giving from depletion?

Write down anything that arises, allowing yourself to be honest and compassionate.

– Next, write one thing you are ready to release — perhaps an old expectation, a lingering hurt, or a pattern of over-accommodating others. Safely burn, tear, or bury the paper as a symbolic act of letting go. Take your time with this process and allow any emotions, sensations, or thoughts to arise.

– Then write a single intention for how you wish to show up in your connections moving forward — perhaps with greater authenticity, clearer boundaries, or deeper openness.

Let this Full Moon remind you that balance is not something we achieve once and hold forever. Balance is a living practice — one that begins with the courage to remain true to the quiet wisdom of your heart. 🌕✨
